Mysterious Message

Samus has gotten missions in strange ways, and this is definitely up there.

I was of the impression that Samus pretty much already had the ultimate power with her Chozo powersuit. She can use almost any weapon and even her armor can be upgraded modularly with almost anything she encounters, even an enemy falling on her. But it’s not her doing this of her own volition: she’s getting paid. And it seems she’s not the only one getting paid, though probably the only one paid by the Galactic Federation.

Speaking of which, this is our first introduction to factions other than the Galactic Federation and the Space Pirates. Yes, there’s one Space Pirate here, but there’s also a load of other people. I know at least one Hunter other than Samus survives all this, but I wonder if the others do as well? We don’t see any of them in Metroid Prime 3.

It’s been a while, so I’ll introduce Luke here again. Luke is my stand-in for certain games, particularly those on the DS, as I’m very much not looking at my computer screen most of the time when playing those games. That means I’m not looking towards the camera and I don’t want to have a load of that sort of footage on my stream. As for Luke himself, he’s a lizarkin in the same world as Emilie: in fact, he’s her biographer. (They meet after the conclusion of the books I am writing about her, which means he’s the in-universe author of those books.) When Luke is playing games, I will treat it like a first playthrough even if it is not. In this case, it is; the nonzero file is because I obtained this game pre-owned. I think the zero file is just when I was testing the game to make sure it functioned.
