Gorea, At Last

A whole lotta help they were.

It’s a good thing that Samus got there after everyone else so she didn’t get caught up in that big attack. I don’t know how much work they had to put in to fight the egg, but it clearly didn’t do very much. What I mostly find strange is that they actually tried working together on it. The one time we saw two of them in the same room as Samus, they were duking it out before she arrived. I guess we weren’t killing them during the rest of the game, just putting out a claim to explore the local area without further interference.

I think it’s fair to say that Gorea is the reward for putting up with the rest of the game. Especially if you get there with more health than I did―I’m fairly certain I only found about half of the energy tanks―then Gorea is a fun boss fight where you actually use all the stuff you’ve picked up. The main annoyance for me is how rare health drops are compared to ammo drops, especially since I was still getting ammo drops when my ammo was full. I wanted to get health and get back in the fight, not keep running in circles!
