There’s every shop in the game!
Every normal one, that is. There are other places to exchange Geo for stuff, and we’ll see them, but I’ve now visited all four shops that are normally part of the game. Jiji is a bonus for the randomizer; while he exists here, he’s not particularly useful to a player who’s decent at the game. As such, I’m going to visit him with my fourth Simple Key (of four). Even the normal Waterways entrance is more useful than that guy.
A consequence of my off-the-beaten-path method of getting around is that I missed Cornifer and Quirrel at Fungal Wastes/Queen’s Station. That’s some text I’ll never get to see on this particular playthrough, which stinks a little, but that’s the consequence I pay for being slightly more efficient with my time. (They went away because I got the Mantis Claw, and I wanted to get to Overgrown Mound on my first time through Fog Canyon.) I’d had the opportunity to visit them earlier, but hadn’t realized that Mantis Claw removed those locations. I hope I don’t miss many others, but I get the feeling I’ll miss at least a little. Characters like to move around in this game.
