Despite the simple move set, I still find the Failed Champion to be one of the hardest fights for me. Granted, in randomizer, I often don’t get to just put it off until I have loads of health, but double damage is always a nasty thing that I really have trouble handling. I imagine what I’m eventually going to do is just put on Joni’s Blessing and forget about healing, but I like to be able to try to stay alive. Some bosses just really don’t give you the chance.
All of the Colosseum of Fools’s challenges take absolute ages to get through, which is pretty devastating if you lose near the end. The third challenge doesn’t even really give you any reward at all, which is why I’m not going to bother doing it until I’ve gotten the third ending. I want to be fully powered up beforehand and, like with Godhome, I don’t really care whether I get it done. Three tries and it’s put in the pile of “maybe later but probably not.” I have plenty of games to play and can leave the mastery of games to other people.
