It’s obvious at this point that Tsubasa is the main character for the game. Itsuki might be the player character, but he is, as he says at the end of the chapter, just the support. Not in battle, though! He’s certainly no Joker, but as jack-of-all-trades as Chrom is, that’s certainly something you want to have in battle. He isn’t the fiercest attacker, but neither is he flimsy, and he can even do some moderate healing. (He’s basically a bulky Red Mage.) Tsubasa is the main healer, but she has so little bulk that most of her healing will go on herself.
It feels a little early that we get Ayaha back. It was set up to be a long-running quest across the whole game. Rather, we’re going to find that the Mirages do have a leader, but this leader did not actually take Ayaha. Perhaps it was the other performer from the Mass Disappearance? I don’t actually recall. I remember some of the ending sequences, but the characters clearly weren’t as memorable for me. I do know that the side stories are extremely important, however, so I’ll definitely be doing all of those as soon as they’re available.
