Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Donkey Kong Bananza

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is on Mondays & Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy

  • Hollow Knight: Silksong

  • Klonoa: Empire of Dreams

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Metroid

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • 5-year Stream Anniversary: Breath of the Wild 100%
  • Between Twitch series: model building
  • Last Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Archipelago

A FEAST FOR THE BEAST

Donkey Kong Bananza - https://youtu.be/F206tmJW3KE

A feast of all the destructive platforming you could desire.

I'm wondering what kind of sponsorship is needed for the different layers to make attractions suited for different species. I also wonder how the people get around; do they all use the Eelevator? That would make her one busy mother! No wonder she would have so many kids, though: when they grow up, they'll make for an excellent transit system among the layers.

The point of having all those attractions, of course, is to get us to use all the different Bananzas we've accrued on our travels. Those lacking an attraction get ruins, and there's even a "ruins" that makes use of almost all of them. (Snake is the only one without a use there, and snake gets its own dedicated ruins.) I knew this sort of thing would happen once we had everything, and I'm happy to see how it was delivered. I imagine the final fight at the Banandium Root will be a similar gauntlet to the frustrating building knock-down challenge, though probably on less of a time crunch.

Void's been putting up the exact same posters on every single layer. He's always known what the root looks like, and we could know if we paid attention. I think they only put particular emphasis on it right now because it's coming up very soon. 1500 seems like the right kind of layer number for a final challenge. We don't have any sort of metric for how tall a given layer is, so there's no real way to know how far down we are, but we do know it's a very long way. It's a good thing this world apparently ignores structural models. The USSR tried to cut a hole all the way to the mantle and gave up only when the hole grew so hot that all the equipment melted. They didn't even stop when people were dying of the heat. But we're 1400 sublayers down, and DK is still finding wide open spaces that are only hot if you stand in the frying oil.
