Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

  • The Legend of Zelda (current: The Wind Waker HD)

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade (on deck: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy (current: Romancing SaGa 2)
  • Metroid (on deck: Zero Mission)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Choice series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

A HIDDEN HERO

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven - https://youtu.be/O-vmCWAXo1I

I guess we have confirmation that the people in the memories are the Seven Heroes.

I thought I was doing nothing but side questing today, but then I got a territory and fought a hero. Thinking about it, probably everything in the game is a "main quest." Everything you do has one of three outcomes: expand territory, fight a hero, or get another upgrade to your stuff and/or available entourage. That last category is what I would deem a "side quest," but getting the Corsair class was required in order to expand territory to the island, so… I guess even that wasn't a side quest.

Throwing the ice stone in the volcano has the vibe of doing the wrong thing. But also, it was what the ruler of the main village of the island asked us to do, so maybe it wasn't? I expect it's going to come back to bite me someday. It also demonstrates that this game has branching paths. I already compared this game to Pokemon. It definitely has replayability in more than just picking who's in your party and what skills you emphasize using. (Can I get a bow upgrade, though? It's really doing no damage compared to everything else.)

And Dantarg hiding in the path where a memory specifically about him was found makes it very clear that not only are the Seven Heroes some of the people in the memories, but also they haven't necessarily changed all that much. At the very least, his character feels like a natural progression over what we saw in the memory. I wonder when we'll see a memory with Kzinssie?
