CLASSIC INHERITANCE SCHEME

I suppose that when the player can pick the next emperor, the only way for this to happen is with other kingdoms.
I think it works well that I had the street rat for emperor on this round. Definitely fits with helping out the little kid. Ultimately, the whole game is pretty customizable, and you'll have an interesting narrative especially if you ever have to redo a boss fight with the next-of-kin. I'm hoping that never happens, but I've definitely been having a rough time with normal fights whenever I use any formation other than the Imperial Cross. I think I'll swap to Free-For-All 2 at the start of next stream and then maybe back to Imperial Cross for the next area if it continues to go poorly. Although if it goes any worse than it already has, I'll also need to start swapping out characters due to hitting LP 0. Good thing it's really rare to have "You cannot fast travel at this time" pop up, so I can just pop back to a tavern whenever I need it.
I'm kinda wondering when the next of the seven heroes will pop up. It's been almost 300 years since we felled the first one. I know it's an RPG and those typically aren't short, but still: we keep getting mentions of them from each era's boss and yet none of them have bothered to check in on us. Are we just going to get a boss rush at the end, or will one of them actually show up soon? It's been quite a bit in real time, too. With my number of side quests expanding and no more heroes felled, I feel like this is going to be a multiple hundreds of hours game, which hasn't been the case for any game for me in quite some time. I'm not complaining about the length in terms of how much I'm enjoying it; I just don't want to bore my viewers. That and I am still thinking about the fact that this is putting off Metroid.
Story notes: I was not expecting for the corsairs to just give up without a fight when I waltzed in. I was actually expecting another full dungeon with a boss fight at the end. Granted, I had to do something of a boss fight at the start of that mission, so it's not like I got away without one. But if I'd known that the whole thing was going to end by chatting with someone in town, I would've just finished the side quest at the end of the previous stream. As for the main story, as stated in the title, it's a classic scheme. Granted, this is a remake of an old game, so I can't really expect too much. I do like that they foreshadowed it with the character model for the tutor. I pretty much called it when the guy was introduced.
