Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

  • The Legend of Zelda (current: The Wind Waker HD)

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade (on deck: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy (current: Romancing SaGa 2)
  • Metroid (on deck: Zero Mission)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Choice series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

COMPANION QUESTS

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD - https://youtu.be/RF9vBATy8SU

Entering dungeons as tag teams!

The Command tune is unique to Wind Waker (though its sequels have something similar) and is an excellent way to get your companions to do what you want. It certainly helps that they're basically immune to damage and the only way to lose them is to a floormaster. And then you just have to backtrack a short distance. Escorting is far better in Wind Waker than in basically any other game I've played.

Just like with the sages in Ocarina of Time, I feel sorry for these two. Especially Medli. She had her whole life ahead of her, and now she's locked in the depths of a dungeon! Although maybe they get to come out after Luc's task is done? I don't recall the ending being clear on that point. The sages in OOT are all dead as far as I can tell, so it's not that big a deal on the "locked away" bit. But it does matter here.

Also, in case it's not clear, KoRL is worried that Ganondorf being gone means he's looking for Zelda. The fish only cares about the surface world, so Ganondorf vanishing means, to him, that the world is healing. But KoRL knows that if Ganondorf actually gets what he wants, the world above will be forfeit as well. Technically, if we just did nothing, the Triforce could not be assembled, with the one of Courage still shattered. But also that would mean nobody would be standing in Ganondorf's way. Not really a big improvement there.

I said at the end that I had only three islands left to visit and had seven heart pieces left to find, and doubted they'd all be on the remaining islands. So I looked it up. Turns out, none of the heart pieces are on those islands. Four are on Windfall! That island has so much to do that I completely forgot some of the quests! I'll be going back for it all at the start of the next stream, so don't worry about me missing things. I want to have done pretty much 100% in the game prior to heading down to the final dungeon. (It's not actually possible to finish the Nintendo Gallery prior to going there, and I don't care to do things like "all Private Oasis puzzles" or "all membership cards from Beedle." I'll do money-linked rewards only if I'm looking for ways to fill time next stream.)
