Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

NOTE: Due to life events, this schedule will be changing when the current Poll game finishes.

  • Final Fantasy

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Metroid

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade Chronicles (current: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

NOTE: Due to life events, this set will be put on hold at the conclusion of the current game.

  • Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Twitch series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

COMPANIONS AHOY

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition - https://youtu.be/BP6XuzjafmE

Prioritizing Affinity Missions means loads of new party members, one after another.

Generally speaking, Affinity Missions and Normal Missions are the side quests that are worth doing, because they have some level of story attached. Basic Missions are the fetch quests that are pretty much just there to verify that you're actually exploring. But some Basic Missions are required in order to do the other two types, so… I'm doing everything I can. Besides, it's not like I don't get rewards for doing Basic Missions. They're just hardly anything at all. (Seriously, 20 experience!? What's with this game?)

Normal Missions actually provide some useful story to the game. They're missions that don't directly involve any party members, but I'm thinking of one set in particular that hasn't come up just yet. I think it'll show up soon, however. It's a whole series and it takes you all across the world, and since I've been to all the continents now there's not a whole lot left to hold me back on that sort of thing. I just need a Skell and then I can go absolutely everywhere, as long as you ignore the stuff that'll kill me on sight.

Affinity Missions come in two flavors: more story for party members you already have, and adding more party members. The latter is what you get a lot of early in the game, since you're not quite high enough level to go solving people's problems just yet. I'm glad that the game will lower the difficulty for Affinity/Main Missions if you keep failing, but I'll try not to hit that kind of wall. That said, I'm not going to go out of my way to kill things. There are enough Basic Missions (and otherwise) for killing foes that I don't think it's worth my time to do that. I'll be getting levels somewhat passively just by completing objectives.
