Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

  • The Legend of Zelda (current: The Wind Waker HD)

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade (on deck: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy (current: Romancing SaGa 2)
  • Metroid (on deck: Zero Mission)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Choice series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

FIELD TRIP!

Dadish 3 - https://youtu.be/gOHFySiBmq8

The levels in this game are long.

The long levels, combined with the difficulty of said levels, is the reason I wasn't able to finish this game in a single day like its predecessors. The levels with The Dolphin The Dolphin are among the worst in this category; fully half of my stream was edited away, and his levels were a huge chunk of that. He definitely doesn't swim very quickly.

I've mentioned Daily Dadish a few times before. It uses all the world themes from this game as its themes, and brings up bosses from this game and the ones before it in its dialogue with the kids. However, there are no actual bosses. The game has 366 levels (one for each day of the year, including Leap Day) and you can play one per day, dependent on the calendar date. When the year loops over, so do the levels. In order to get the star on each level, you need to finish the level faster than an unstated target time (revealed after beating the level once); this can range from being rather lenient (I can get > 10 seconds faster than it) to very strict (I beat the time by less than a second after really pushing myself). However, I won't be streaming the game, since you can only play one level per day. I'd only be playing it for a few minutes and then I'd be done, and I'd miss a huge chunk of the game since I don't stream every day. I've gotten the star on every single level off-stream. It takes a bit of effort to not push myself to repeat the same risky strategies during normal play, now. I don't need to go fast; I just have to finish the level. It's not even recording my time until I have all the stars!
