Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

  • The Legend of Zelda (current: Ocarina of Time 3D: Master Quest)

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade (on deck: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy (current: Romancing SaGa 2)
  • Metroid (on deck: Zero Mission)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Choice series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

FINAL CHALLENGES

Bravely Second - https://youtu.be/Cv1lmOVz7rY

Wondering where all the dragons went since we didn't need them to open Vampire Castle? Wonder no more.

I didn't think I was coming back, but then I discovered that there were two more dungeons to check out, including my favorite Dragon Zombie. However, now I'm really done. That Adventurer is beyond difficult and I'm only going to bother with it if I do a true New Game + for some reason. (That's also why I'm not training up all my jobs to take her on. I'll just do that on the NG+.)

Bravely Default and Bravely Second are two of my favorite games, and the Wizard job in Bravely Second in particular is one of my inspirations for the magic system in What's a Dragon? I like how it takes a standard set of spells (it's just one of each element) and adds a bunch of "spellcraft" modifiers. It's certainly not unique in that approach, but it's among the first times I heard about it, and it's the one that stuck in my head. I know I never really used the spellcraft after finishing with the job―mostly because passive abilities completely overshadowed it and that extra turn is just too valuable―but it's the first asterisk you get and it's great to have.

The only thing I'm wondering now is if we'll ever get a Bravely Third where, hopefully, Edea and Ringabel get to close their romance, or if Bravely Default III is the next thing the team is making.
