Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Donkey Kong Bananza

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is on Mondays & Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy

  • Hollow Knight: Silksong

  • Klonoa: Empire of Dreams

  • The Legend of Zelda (current: Twilight Princess)

  • Metroid

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Twitch series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

FINAL FINAL COLLECTIONS

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: 100% - https://youtu.be/uNXaayzXP0w

I gotta say, I did actually swap clothing decently often.

While Link's cutscene outfit is normally no headgear, Champion's Tunic, and Hylian Trousers, I do like that I at least got him to wear the Hero of the Wild set for a few cutscenes. Having 84 defense from it certainly helped convince me to do it: it's the most defensive gear you get. The set bonus of having a longer sword beam is really not worth much, but I tried to at least use it in the final fight.

You might notice that the first part of the video is basically just a montage. There was a lot of waiting in it, since I had to get about twenty parts off the dragons and more than ten star fragments. Part of the issue with star fragments was that my first few all fell prior to midnight, so I gave up when it hit midnight on many nights even though the actual end time for star fragments falling is 3 am. That's part of my frustration near the end of the video, relieved when one finally fell when I decided to wait to 3 am to see whether my game was bugged and refusing to give me any more. I did want to finish at that point but it was taking much longer than I expected.

A common complaint about Calamity Ganon is that the more of the game you complete, the easier the fight, even though you're now better equipped. I think that was part of the point: all you actually have to do is destroy Ganon, but all the running around beforehand is preparing for that fight. Getting better equipment is only part of the preparations. It also means that people who can't figure out the game's combat system still have a way to better prepare to beat the final boss.

I put all my thoughts in during the credits. Quick summary: Yes, I still like the game. Yes, I enjoyed the 100%, just not the clothing part of it. If I'm going to play this game again, it will be a far shorter objective.
