Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Donkey Kong Bananza

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is on Mondays & Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy

  • Hollow Knight: Silksong

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Metroid

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • 5-year Stream Anniversary: Breath of the Wild 100%
  • Between Twitch series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer
  • PSI Hope 5: Oct. 19: Hollow Knight Archipelago

FINISHING MISSIONS

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition - https://youtu.be/8yuTPy0O6Z4

Starting off with what every game with crafting and pizza should include: a pizza ingredients quest.

Despite the recommended levels at the end of the game, it seems that everything that lets me use my Skell is fairly easy. Meanwhile, Rise of the Blood Lobster totally blocks me from bringing my Skell to the final fight, and I still can't finish that mission. I really hope that's not what ends up making me grind before finishing the game. I built my character specifically to beat him and I lost even faster! (I probably drew too much aggro.)

I greatly enjoy pretty much every story mission in this game. The only exceptions are ones like Rise of the Blood Lobster where I feel like they unintentionally made the finale harder than it should have been. There must be some trick to the fight, but I'm not finding it. Maybe there's another augment I can craft that helps my defense or something. Even the stuff with the Divine Nopopon is pretty fun, though the reward feels underwhelming. That said, you can raise the levels of inherent augments, and those are all at level 1, so maybe the sword can get really strong without a ton of effort.

Something I have to talk about is Mia's parentage. She said she has "two dads." The most generous reading is that she's talking about a father, a grandfather, and a deceased mother, but I get the feeling that's not what she means. In addition, Luke's world doesn't have the same social setup as the real one, so he's beyond confused, as he has no reference point for her statement: the most logical setup in his mind is that she is a created monster from an animal, and her creator has gained the help of his best friend for the effort of raising her. This goes against the statement that she's a human, so he's decided to simply not think about it because this is a video game. Even the Orpheans make more sense.
