Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

NOTE: Due to life events, this schedule will be changing when the current Poll game finishes.

  • Final Fantasy

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Metroid

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade Chronicles (current: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

NOTE: Due to life events, this set will be put on hold at the conclusion of the current game.

  • Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Twitch series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

I THINK HE WAS REFERENCED

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition - https://youtu.be/BwWESfuLE1A

He doesn't look exactly the same… but it's too close to not notice.

Right at the start of stream, I learned something critical: if you lose enough times to a story mission, it lowers the level of the current blocking fight by 5. At low levels, that's certainly a lot. But in Xenoblade games, even a difference of 3 usually makes a huge impact, and even while you're at much higher levels. So as it turns out, beating your head against a brick wall does actually weaken the wall in this game. Maybe it's just plaster with a fancy paint job.

It's important to note that while I have played this game on WiiU, that doesn't mean I remember everything. Generally speaking, I only remember a few plot points that I deemed "important" back when I played it. (No, I did not remember H.B., but I do remember his attitude. He's not new to this version.) And also what the theme of each continent is. We've got grassland, desert and jungle, so far. Can you guess what Sylvalum and Cauldros are?

Some lore for Luke: his scale pattern is based on the alligator lizard. Not to be confused with the alligator, it's a Mexican tree lizard that lives in high-altitude forests. The scale pattern looks amazing up close, but it doesn't exactly translate well for such a zoomed-out image, so you just get the white highlights for the chest plates. Look it up sometime, though. Anyway, while he doesn't live in the middle of a forest, he does live in a heavily forested mountain region known as the Appalacians of southwest Virginia. (A lot of place names are the same in the setting. It uses real-world geography because I don't want to come up with a fantasy map.) That said, Noctilum is more like seeing a jungle from the perspective of a normal-sized lizard rather than a human-sized one. Also, I really like the way that Monolithsoft makes their forests glow at night. It makes nighttime the best time to be traversing them, despite how dark you'd think it would be. The atmosphere is just so fantastic.
