Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

 

  • Donkey Kong Bananza

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is on Mondays & Saturdays.

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

Is it Elma's reputation that keeps getting me the good missions, or did I really earn them?

 

In earlier chapters, it was all, "Elma this, Elma that." To be fair, she's the one who picked me up in the middle of nowhere by herself. I wonder if her level is just her holding back for the sake of not carrying the team as a one-woman army, and she holds back less as we gain experience. Xenosaga has a party member like that. (I watched someone else play it years ago; don't expect me to stream it, as I own neither games nor the console on which they're played.) However, that party member is strongly implied to be God Himself, while Elma is… not. We'll get into what she is when it comes up. However, I recall that happening during the very last chapter.

 

Anyway, three missions in a single day where new people recognize me is pretty interesting. Granted, I don't think the in-game model for Luke would be hard to pick out of a lineup, but this stuff assumes your character looks more normal. (In his own setting, he is doesn't stand out very much. Lizarkin are fairly common there.) I just made him green because it's the closest I can get to my character's actual form. Something tells me Luke is really unlikely to ever play a game where anything like himself is a playable character. That is, unless I can find the time for Lil Gator Game? That might be fun.

 

I feel a little bad about it, but there's nothing I can do: this was actually the last Saturday stream for a while. I'll probably stream on Wednesday or something instead? Basically, I have really busy weekends for the next few weeks and I don't anticipate being able to actually stream very much. Hopefully it won't be a huge interruption, but this was another part of why I decided to stop doing the Poll series for a while. But that's also part of why I don't feel too bad for going way past end time, although why that happened was that I started a Normal Mission just before nominal end time and it took me over an hour to complete it.
