Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

  • The Legend of Zelda (current: The Wind Waker HD)

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade (on deck: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy (current: Romancing SaGa 2)
  • Metroid (on deck: Zero Mission)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Choice series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

MYRIAD DEAD ENDS

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven - https://youtu.be/QzMLkfLjEpg

I probably was supposed to ignore the quest markers and explore a little more than I have been doing.

I was pretty relieved when I got a new party. The Emperor was getting really low on LP; I didn't want to make a whole new party right as I reached the end of the era. Rocbouquet also had her own signature ability, but we've yet to come across one quite as threatening as Soulsteal, which just instantly kills a party member. Good thing that guy was obsessed with hitting the Emperor with it! Meanwhile the whole-party Charm that actually only affects one person and I can heal it with a spell… Well, Rocbouquet didn't take it easy on us, but it sure felt like she did. She was hovering at the end of her health bar for a while and I just had to take a risk and end it. Not that it was a war of attrition, because I was winning on that count.

Then, of course, we start up the new era, and I get a bunch of tasks where I have to go somewhere I haven't actually accessed yet. And have no hints on getting there. I suspect the Corsair as Emperor would let me bypass the need to breathe underwater, but I'm not totally certain on that one, and besides I need to sort out the bridge situation. I suspect both will be solved in the same location.

I've had markers on the ports for a while that I had other places to go, so I decided I may as well make use of one of them. Figures there'd be a quest at the other end! And it was a long one, too. I felt like starting up that mission into the landship would give me a save point on the other side, so I didn't feel bad starting it up, but then it didn't. And it gave me the longest dungeon I've explored so far to boot. And there's still that section I never found a way into! I might have to just leave it behind.

It's worth noting that I won't be able to stream this game again for three weeks. Next Saturday, I'm too busy to stream at all, and the one after that, I plan to try a Hollow Knight Randomizer. No idea how long that'll last. If it's about average (8 hours), then that's it for the stream. My record is 2.5 hours, though, so if that happens again then I'll probably play a bit of this game as well. But I don't find that terribly likely.
