  • Figment
  • Planet of Lana

Choice Games:

  • Metroid (Zero Mission on deck)

RADISH PATERNITY

Dadish - https://youtu.be/dIFlZnYQrUI

This is actually my fourth or so playthrough of the game, so I don't have a ton to say about it.

  1. I love the jokes.
  2. The platforming is only slightly glitchy and/or precise.
  3. The series is actually very consistent; playing later games helps with earlier ones.

The reason I replayed it most recently was that I've been posting Dadish jokes to Discord for over a year. I went through the entirety of Daily Dadish (the fourth title in the series, which I won't be streaming because it's one level per day, period. You can't skip around) and decided to continue it with the main titles. Daily Dadish is also the main reason I know how to be fast in this game, because that game is very precise with the amount of time you're allowed to spend on most levels and still get the star. (It's time-based rather than going out of your way.)

Most of the glitchiness for the platforming is seen with the sliding around during the end-of-level dance. That same thing can apply on moving platforms if you're unlucky, but it doesn't make too much difference. Precision also, thankfully, rarely applies. If you see a high death count for a given level in the video, there's your sign for a precision level.

There's a star in that pit. Exiting is rather hard.

All that time spent playing Daily Dadish probably led to me being able to finish this game in a single stream. And my comments on going fast. Seriously, the "jump over an unexploded can" technique is actually required in some Daily levels. It takes way too much precision on timing to get that done, sometimes multiple times in a level. I don't have an example image to show you, but basically you can (single) jump over the can while it's moving towards you, then quickly jump after landing so you're over the explosion just as it goes off. If you double-jump over the can, you will land on the explosion. The can is just barely short enough to not have to double-jump over it.
