Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

  • The Legend of Zelda (current: The Wind Waker HD)

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade (on deck: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy (current: Romancing SaGa 2)
  • Metroid (on deck: Zero Mission)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Choice series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

THE EAST HALF

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD - https://youtu.be/75gi1USCbAQ

I finally made use of all those rupees!

Early-game, the only real way to get use from your rupees is buying All-Purpose Bait and doing the night auction. There's also Zunari's shop, which takes an insane amount of cash to fill every post on Windfall, but first I should fill out the trading sequence. Which is actually complicated enough (and with no real hint other than trial and error) that I might bother to look up a guide. But if you want to fill every post in town, the Town Flower technically works. (It's also the cheapest option.) It just takes so many rupees that I'm not going to bother with it until my wallet fills up again.

The main item I was looking to get from all this travel around was the doubled magic meter. There's only one other major item I can get right now without progressing the story, though of course I can always try for more heart pieces. Since I don't know where all those are, I think continuing to fill in the map is fine.

Oh, and I think revising my definition of a dungeon is in order. I said that you needed a Big Key and a dungeon boss. But I know there's one dungeon that doesn't fit that (no Big Key). Rather, I think the definition will be, "either you get a Heart Container at the end, or you beat the game." (You don't get a heart container for beating the game's main villain ever, but you basically always end with a dungeon. The only exception I can think of is Skyward Sword, and even then, that's a "kind of," since you go straight from dungeon to final boss with just a chance to step outside for a bit between.)

The west half has the story progress, and I'm still debating whether to travel through that square or route around it. I could go for either one, really. I think I'll make an effort to go around, but might accidentally end up in the square like how I keep accidentally running into Big Octos. Either way, it should go way faster now that I have the Swift Sail.
