Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Donkey Kong Bananza

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is on Mondays & Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy

  • Hollow Knight

  • The Legend of Zelda (on deck: Twilight Princess)

  • Metroid

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade Chronicles (current: X Definitive Edition)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • 5-year Stream Anniversary: Breath of the Wild 100%
  • Between Twitch series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

THE RIFT OF SOULS

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition - https://youtu.be/IdbEsabU8gc

There's that answer: canonically, this game takes place at roughly the same time as Xenoblade 1 and 2.

In Xenoblade 1, there's not much in the way of timekeeping. Other than Shulk's recovery time after losing the Monado, the whole game could more or less occur in the space of a few days. Xenoblade 2 is not very different in that. So when Xenoblade X mentions weeks and months… it may have started at the same time as the others, but it's ending long after them. It's still well before Xenoblade 3, though. That's at least a decade later. At the same time, Origin could well fit the description of that meeting point. Maybe it's the same general idea.

I thought the original ending had Lao waking up on the shorts of Primordia. This change is fantastic. It feels way more like what we're doing matters. As for the difference in the state of the Lifehold… maybe the visits were to two different rooms? The rooms do look different, on closer inspection. It's just weird that one huge room is untouched and another is well beyond ruined. I'm also now unsure whether Mira is the universal translator, or if that's from the Rift doing the work. Funny how just one chapter added to the end can turn the whole ship around. I think I actually might like this game now.

Oh, and for finding Mia: yes, I did look it up. However, it's a bit of a surprise quest regardless. You need 65% survey rate in Cauldros (which I didn't have on my first time through the base). Even after you have that, no quest marker shows up until you have the mission. Mia's awfully lucky that she's right next to a yellow square on the radar, or I'd never have found her.
