Game Plans

Sundays:

A set of games I can play while watching the other streamers on the multistream and interacting with chat. Must fit the format of shorter (2-hour) streams.

  • Super Mario (current: Odyssey)

  • Picross S (when I need a break: S2)

  • Power Wash Simulator (between games)

Choice Games:

A set of games I really want to play, whether by express choice or a sense of obligation. Twitch viewers can populate this with a points redemption. Presently, I am finishing series that I started earlier and then gained further access to series entries after finishing the set.

This set is currently on weekdays.

  • The Legend of Zelda (current: The Wind Waker HD)

  • Pokemon
  • Wonder Boy
  • Xenoblade (on deck: X Definitive Edition)

Poll Games:

A set of games selected by viewer poll. I try to run entire series before moving to the next.

This set is currently on Saturdays.

  • Final Fantasy (current: Romancing SaGa 2)
  • Metroid (on deck: Zero Mission)

Event Games/Etc.:

Games and other streams voted on by the community for certain events. Most often, this is for annual events such as my Twitch Affiliate anniversary and my streaming anniversary, or as a break between finishing game series. There can be more of these if Twitch subscription milestones are hit.

  • Between Choice series: model building
  • First Saturday monthly: Hollow Knight Randomizer

I wonder what would have happened if I won that fight at the peak?

As far as I can tell, there are several ways this quest could have gone. First of all, I could have simply not frozen the volcano in the first era. The eruption probably wouldn't have been as devastating, though it might still have let the island emerge. Secondly, I could have won the fight at the peak, maybe. That may also have saved the territory. I'm not totally sure that was a winnable fight. Third, that Emerged Island was visible before I went to meet with the Sorcerer. I probably could have looted it with him none the wiser. That would have let me get the book. Finally, I think the first dialogue option was the one that would let me fight him. I thought both would, which is why I picked the second, but I guess not. (As yet, picking dialogue options hasn't had any noticeable impact when I was able to pick both.) Or maybe he would have vanished with the book anyway. There were a lot of times that could have gone better, but since I didn't know what I was doing, I messed it all up.

It seems the salamanders aren't any worse for wear, though I did have to trek through a jungle to be able to get over to them. The encounters in the jungle are pretty heavy with Petrify, which is really mean since only finishing the fight will cure that condition. Not even the best healing items and spells have anything for it. At least I know there's a run button now, and that fixes things. Hopefully I never encounter any bosses that use it. I guess that's why I have access to the automaton that's impervious to status conditions, but since it's not possible to control, I don't really like to have it in my party. If only I could master that skill and put it on someone else.

Side note, isn't it hundreds of years after I first met with the Sorcerer? How is he still around? Is he one of the Seven?
