Two games in a row where Samus only shows up due to a distress signal.
It goes without saying that the Parasite Queen is why the Space Pirates sent the distress signal. It also goes without saying that they absolutely did not want Samus to pick up that signal. Presumably, she just happened to be in the area, considering this is the same solar system as Zebes (as we’ll see later); she clearly had no idea the Chozo were ever here.
This is the second time I’ve streamed this game, so am I going to skip things? Nope! I missed that 100% last time and want to get it this time. Also, I’m playing on Veteran difficulty, which makes Samus take more damage and do less. That means the extra health and ammo is very worth my time to go pick up. I’m mostly just hoping that Nunchuck connection problem doesn’t kill me too often. When it fully disconnects, it pauses the game, but a partial disconnect can do much more lethal things, such as locking me out of moving in a direction or keeping my button presses from doing anything.
