Yes, we were slow, but it was still fun.
Infosync is how people used to play as teams in randomizer, before itemsync mods existed. (Itemsync means that when you pick something up, the other person gets it, too. Infosync means that you both simply have the same seed and need to tell each other where stuff is.) If you hear a snap sound during all this, that’s me putting my pen back to where it magnetically attaches to the side of the writing tablet. I haven’t needed the tablet for any games so far, but I’m sure I’ll need it eventually. It’s basically just a more convenient version than writing on a normal notebook or typing notes: it does both, and I can erase far more easily.
The fact that we had to tell each other where things were makes this all the more silly for me, because despite having over 250 hours of playing the game, I still don’t know what things are called in the moment. You’ll certainly hear me hesitate to tell my partner (JasonILTG) where things are: that’s because I forgot what it was called. I know where stuff is (well, mostly, anyway), but asking me what the boss I just beat is called will probably get you a blank stare for a couple of seconds. Eventually I started to settle for just naming the first local thing that came to mind, such as “Bardoon… blue” when in the Bardoon Lifeblood room.
You might notice I’m doing randomizer less, and that’s not because I find it any less fun. It’s just that I’ve made a schedule for what I want to stream and realized it’s going to take me ages to get through it. There’s no reason to extend things with randomizer once a month. I’ll join whatever tournaments and events come up at times where I can participate, but otherwise I’m fine with just playing all the other games on my list.
