Yes, Samus gets a moment of respite after a heroic sacrifice, but these things tunnel through bedrock and have nests all throughout the mines. Sacrificing yourself to block the way is not helping anybody. That’s not to say I expect any of them would have managed the final hurdle, but at least they could have had a better chance.
Unfortunately, the place that gives you Super Missiles also has an active effect disincentivizing their use. Sure, I’ll use them if I think I need to, but I’m not sure I do for most combat. Also, is it just me, or do they travel slower than normal missiles in this game? I know they travel faster than normal missiles in earlier entries, so that’s a little weird, but as long as they still hit their target I guess I can’t complain too much. At least they still have the splash damage effect, and they do seem pretty effective in combat. Not as effective as VUE-995’s punches, but I’ll take what I can get.
