It’s the first time I’ve gotten 100% in a Metroid Prime game on stream. Finally.
I’m really glad I didn’t forge ahead and hope the last item was on Phaaze, because that’s what I initially thought when I didn’t see it on the Space Pirate Homeworld map. That or it was in the last section I hadn’t visited. It’s a good thing I checked my maps again!
Realistically, the only way we were going to visit Phaaze was via wormhole. It’s how the Leviathan Seeds got here, and we knew it was fantastically far away. I didn’t expect a whole armada to come with Samus, but considering the Space Pirates had an armada waiting, it’s a good thing they did come. Now for them to survive while Samus does. Playing an entire planet on a time limit was a surprise my first round, but it’s now my third. I looked up the exact mechanics beforehand, so that’s how I know about the number of units and such, but in effect it’s just a time/damage limit. There’s no way anyone could possibly drain 1404 units in [actually five] seconds, especially since the fastest you can actually spend units is about 60/second. (That’s what a missile drains.) The Phazon Puffers are much faster, but there’s also only a few of those, and even those probably can’t drain you that quickly.
