
Certainly not the final weapon: we still have stuff we can’t destroy.
The Electric Shot finally gives us access to the Scout Bots found in each region. I sure hope there’s still something that marks the green crystals, though, because I am not looking forward to scouring the desert for those. Doubtlessly there’s some I can’t get right this second, as there are those huge rocks I can’t destroy in the middle of green crystals, but we have access to most things right now. I’m still wondering what the “diffused oscillation” weapon is. Perhaps it’s a combination with the missiles? It was a Charge Beam powerup in Dread, but that doesn’t seem very likely here.
At this point, I’ve got a few more predictions to make, mostly based on older entries in the series. For one, I expect Sylux to be the final boss, because he’s showing up even more in this game than Dark Samus did in Metroid Prime 2. For another, I know Power Bombs will occur because we have reference to Denzium in one scan in the desert. We’ve seen mention of high-yield explosives elsewhere, which might be Power Bombs or Super Missiles; we might actually miss out on the latter altogether thanks to our Psychic Glove letting us fling around Morph Ball Bombs. I can imagine Power Bombs also being movable in that way. And for our very next ability, it has to be Spider Ball, because that’s a required ability to reach the next area. It’s also required in order to get several items we’ve seen along the way, so I think I’ll just go to the objective rather than looking for more stuff. I can grab those things after I can stick to walls.
